- This long awaited collection will show the songs in their early forms that were very different from the finished products.
- After years of saying it would never be released, Mike Portnoy confirmed that the 20 minute song Metropolis Part 2 will be featured on this CD. Although no proper demo was ever recorded of the song, an instrumental rehearsal exists, which had leaked onto the internet (although this version was only 11 minutes long, due to a rather large cut in the middle.)
