Notes:
- The band never actually gathered in one place, as most of the songs were "written over the phone" and recorded seperately.
- James LaBrie came up with the idea of "Mullmuzzler" as a word meaning "One who silences an individual's thought before it can be expressed in any manner."
- The cover depicts a dramatization of the "mullmuzzler" idea with one person talking another's ear off literally.
- The cover art was done by the same person who did the cover art to Scenes From A Memory.
- Beelzebubba was written about Bill Clinton.
- The album was originally going to be called Mullmuzzler, however James ran into legal problems with using his name as the artist. So he named the "band" Mullmuzzler and called the album "Keep It To Yourself".
