• Married Rena from the band Meanstreak, his fellow bandmates Mike Portnoy and John Myung also married members of this band.
• Got into guitar at the age of 12 when he noticed his sister got to stay up late for her organ lessons.
• Grew up in Long Island and went to school with Kevin Moore and John Myung
• Has 3 children, SamiJo, Reny and Kiara.
• Enjoys inline skating and biking.
