• Played piano since he was 5.
• Went to berklee.
• Played with Alice Cooper and Kiss before getting into prog.
• Has been called "The Caligula of Keyboards" by Alice Cooper.
• Auditioned for Dream Theater after he was told by a bandmember from the Cooper Band that they had an opening.
• Was originally hired only to tour with Dream Theater as a temporary replacement for Kevin Moore, but was made a full-time member.
• Was a part of the John Myung side-project "Platypus" which evolved into "The Jelly Jam" without him.
• His first solo album was called Planet X, since then the band he played with has started their own career, under the name Planet X!.
• Also can play guitar and bass.
