Even someone with a voice as clear as James LaBrie can be misheard sometimes, here are some commonly misheard lyrics to dream theater songs.
This one is very common, in Voices James sings "Thought Disorder, Dream control" for some reason it sonds a lot like "Fuck this whore, Dream control".
Also common, in A Change of Seasons, "I was blinded by a paradise" is often mistaken as "I was blinded by a pair of dice".
In Pull Me Under, the line "This world is spinning inside of me" sounds suspicoiusly like "this world is spinning in sodomy". Or maybe DT fans just have dirty minds.
This one I never noticed until it was pointed out to me, in Metropolis. the line "Death is the first dance, eternal" it sounds a bit like "Death is the first dancing turtle".
Another one that I only noticed after it was pointed out to me, in Just Let Me Breathe, the line "Strike up your best angst-ridden posture" sounds like "Strike up your best x-rated posture". Fuckin' weird.
Some people have mentioned to me that in Voices james sounds like he's singing "I feel a leg, i feel a breast" actually to me it sounds like "I feel a lady i feel a breast" but that's close also. that song is FULL of misheard lyrics!
This one is pretty funny because it's so stupid, my friends brother walked in on him playing In The Name of God and said "How can you turn faith into violins?"
And here's two from As I Am where "The lines, are clearly defined" is sometimes mistook as "the lines, I clearly defined." The less mundane one is "I won't change to fit your plan" can sound like "I won't change the picture plan".
